Where I'm From Poem

They asked Where am I From
By: Benjamin Trapp

Where am I from they asked me.
Me.
Why me?
Do you know where you are from?
I could be from anything, anywhere.
You couldn’t tell.
I am from my room watching chowder.
Damn he’s a big eater.
When I was little I watched everything.
Barney, Tellitubies, Zaboomafo,
even Spongebob.
I am from the world that is yours
created from pencil and eraser.
The world that you create and make it come to life.
You could make it anything.
A Heaven, a Hell, your world.
You decide.
I am from each video game ever made.
Running, jumping, fighting flying,
I wish I could do that.
I leave my world that I’m in to be someone or something else.
I am from the PS3 controller in my home.
Did I tell you my PS3 died the other day?
OHHH-LORD give it life.
It makes me sad.
I am from the suits I wear at a funeral.
Walking to see my dead relative to say goodbye for the last time.
Goodbye cousin. (Jodi)
Goodbye uncle. (Barnes)
Goodbye grandpa.
Goodbye all of you.
Now you can REST IN PIECE.
Don’t think badly about the future.
Only think good.
I am from the company that will help me be one of the best video game creators ever!!!
I am from my room drawing to hope that one day I’ll make a good cartoon show.
I am from the future with a loving home and additions to the family.
I will pass on what I’ve learned.
I am from a good home.
I am from a good family.
I was raised well.
I am part of my family tree.
My family tree will grow and grow more until….
