Object Poem

The DSi sits
on the shelf with its kind.
It wonders if it would sit there
till the end of time.
It sits and waits
until the day it would be picked.
Something new comes out.
The DSi has a fit.
It's new and bold.
People treat it as if it was gold.
The DSi thinks it's still new
but it's afraid to be old.
DSi XL is the name of the new.
It's mainly for old folks
but young people could buy it too.
It's bigger,
it's better,
but they're really the same.
The DSi relaxes and thinks
the other is not to blame.
One dat, sad and blue
a new costumer came in,
wanting something new.
It looks at everything
and decides what to choose.
The child chooses the DSi.
The DSi cries and weeps.
It tells the others to stay strong and believe.

My Favorite Poem

In my class we read poems. It was hard to choose wich one was my favorite but it came down to one. A poem called "This Type Love". "This Type Love" is about the speaker talking about all the different loves he wants. The speaker wants to have different types of love but the speaker can't because the speakers married. I like this poem because I undestand this poem more than the others. The other poems I don't really understand but this poem I get. "This Type Love" is my favorite poem so far.

Poetry Response Essay: Plot and Theme

People write poems to express themselves. Poems are happy, sad, bad, and funny. My class read a few poems this month. Some likes poems, others might not. But poems tell us a story.

One of the poems we read is a poem called "This Type Love". The title is called "This Type Love", sooooooo.......you would be thinking it's about a type of love. The poem is about someone wanting different types of love. The speaker is unknown but we could guess that the speaker is male. The person wants different types of love from a woman that could give him that but the speaker says that he's married.

I think the poem's theme is love. I think the poem's theme is love because the speaker is talking about wanting different types of love. In the poem the speaker is describing different loves he wants. So the obvious theme it could be is love.

Poems tell us a story. The speaker wants different types of loves but he can't because he's married. I believe many men feels like the speaker but they're married. Many but not all. This poem tells us a story. A story of how some me feel.
